Les procédés de précipitation polyphasique : de l'étude des mécanismes fondamentaux à la modélisation

Abstract : Polyphasic precipitation processes implement many phenomena such as mixing, mass transfer, precipitation mechanisms. Due to the complexity of the phenomena, the knowledge of these processes remains limited. The first study is based on a model system : the precipitation of barium carbonate using pure carbon dioxide and barium hydroxide solutions. This work allowed us to determine the influence of operating parameters and of the operating mode. In order to fix all the parameters of the model, the gas - liquid mass transfer is determined in our particular case where nearly all the reactant gas is consumed in the reactor. The precipitation kinetics (nucleation, crystal growth) are also determined and injected in the model. The second study, more complex, implements a 'solid - gas - liquid - solid' precipitation of an industrial product (P).
