Synthèse de molécules soufrées et/ou phosphorées : évaluation de leurs propriétés additivantes : corrélation structure/propriétés

Abstract : This report consist of two main parts. The first one relates to the synthesis of sulfured and/or phospored molecules having additivating properties. The sulfured derivates have been prepared according to classical methods of organic synthesis. We thus prepared alcohols, chlorides, esters, nitro derivates and polysulfides. We studied the reactivity of O,O-dialkyldithiophosphoric acids towards ethylenic systems, epoxydes and chlored derivates, to synthetize new phosphosulfured molecules. These reactions are very interesting because they only involve standard reactives and in a few cases none solvent nor catalysor have been used. Derivates owning two phosphorus atoms have been prepared too. These studies made us get many derivates (mostly O,O,S-triesters of dithiophosphoric acids) that could be industrially used especially as additives for lubricants. The secon part consisted of evaluating the mechanical properties on a four ball, as well as the corrosion index, for two series of molecules. We wanted to make correlations between the chemical structure of additives and their mechanical properties. Due to the analysis in main components, we showed that the oxiding power of an additive increases with its mechanical properties. It appeared that several compounds not very used in industry, as lubricants, such as ioded derivates or thiocyanates, have really good additivating properties. Regarding the phosphored derivates, we remarked that the anti-water properties incrase between a P=O bond and a P=S one
