La voix de l'autre : la présence de l'ailleurs : le mythe de l'éxotique dans la poésie française au dix-neuvième siècle

Abstract : The modern literary myth immediately attached to modernity which is a way of life attached to modern life as a practice of poetical creation as well. The nineteenth century French poet had been largely influenced by this new social phenomenon which was the new myth. The nineteenth century french poet mad them poetical ones by his particular type of literary creation. In our present study, we found that the myth of the exotic responds to the characteristics that distinguish the modern literary myth from the classic myth and from the literary myth. The other one, similar and or different, and his space, the elsewhere, had a gradual influence on the poet's imaginary from the beginning to the end of the nineteenth century in France. We used the poetical production of three poets to illustrate our purposes. leconte de lisle represents a special case of what we called : the exotic relation. Born under the exotic sky, his life in France inverted the sense of this relation. Charles Baudelaire’s aspiration to leave "any where out of this world" gives him an important place in our study. The appeal of unknown and burning spaces in Rimbaud’s works had remplaced the appeal of the poetical production. The modern literary myth is a new part of modern mythical imaginary. This study would demonstrate his aspect.
