Etude de la synthèse de composés acryliques via une réaction de protection-déprotection de la fonction polymérisable

Abstract : A new synthetic way for the preparation of acrylic derivatives is described, based on a protection-deprotection methodology. In a first step, the radical, nucleophilic, or electrophilic additions of thiols on the acrylic double bond are studied as protective reactions. The nucleophilic Michael addition works the best. The deprotection step using an oxidation-elimination reaction is described. Good yields are obtained when sulfides are oxidized into sulfoxides and thermolysed. On the other hand, starting from sulfones instead of sulfoxydes, moderate yields of deprotection are observed using whether organic bases or phase transfer catalyse methods. The deprotection step is also developed directly from the sulfides using a thermolytic cracking. In the last part, this new method is applied to the synthesis of acrylates, acrylamides, and thioacrylates, starting from commercial acrylic derivatives
