L'impact des systèmes d'information hospitaliers sur la sécurisation du parcours de prise en charge du patient

Abstract : The ongoing digital changes in hospital information systems (HIS) comes with a deep professional practices' change . These changes have an impact on organizations' transformation that forces the manager to think and manage the hospital in a different way. This work meet the scientific interest of studying the health organizations’s management in a context where performance is the key word. The evolution towards rationalization of both human and financial resources and the awareness of the importance of HIS, lead the manager to optimize their operation in order to control the risks generated by the increasing health care's complexity. Health organizations' main challenge is to support care’s production and secure patient's care by transforming their information systems. Hospitals must adopt specific methodologies and objectives to secure patient 's care pathway. The number of failures in implementing an information systems strategy, the gap between expected returns on investment and reality, the difference between expected and observed uses, raise questions about the management practices linked with health information system's adoption. This’s in this context, created by the textual harassment of health institutions and digital's growth , that we propose to study the information system's use to secure patient care 's pathway. Through four case studies carried out according to a qualitative methodology conducted in the health sector, we tried to understand IS 's contribution in securing the patient care's pathway. We will first explore and understand the standardization and computerization's challenges in limiting risks associated with a complex management process and how health supply chain is affected by IS. In a second time, we will study IS's adoption in health institution during coronavirus’s sanitarian crisis marked by high patient flow. Finally, a final contribution will position the IS as a key factor for knowledge sharing within an health and medico-social network. Through these 4 contributions, our approach's main challenge is to create actionable knowledge useful for healthcare institutions in their decision-making process
