Modeling phase diagrams of systems containing ionic liquids used in different applications

Abstract

In this work, we present the application of the PCSAFT equation of state to model phase diagrams of systems containing ILs. The first part of this work consists on an experimental section including vapor-liquid equilibrium (VLE) measurement for binary systems containing {ILs+CO2} and {ILs+ pyridine}. In a second part, the experimental data were correlated with the PC-SAFT model and accurate prediction was obtained for the two binary systems.
