Modeling heat conduction in the presence of a dislocation

Abstract : In this work, we propose a new model to investigate how heat conduction processes are modified close to a dislocation in a dielectric crystal. For the cases of a screw dislocation and a wedge dislocation, we show that thermal conductivity is locally anisotropic and that each kind of defect can imprint its own topological properties to the heat flux.
