Circulation ordinaire des discours sexistes et sens symbolique. La campagne « Mademoiselle, la case en trop ! »

Abstract : The question of "Mademoiselle" in government forms was raised again in 2011. Why? Two camps oppose one another : those for whom the symbolic and political dimension is sufficient in itself to be defended and those who believe the symbolic to be secondary. We argue from there the issue of nomination, address and their performative dimension: to be named means to exist (as). We analyze from there the way we address one another and how it helps building the sexual, cultural and discursive meaning of whom we are.
