Hémangioendothéliome épithélioïde. Etude descriptive et étude de cas

Abstract : First described in 1982 by Weiss and Enzinger, hepatic epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (HEH) is a rare mesenchymatous tumor with low-to intermediate-grade of malignancy and may often be confused with other solitary fibrous tumors such as angiosarcoma. In 45.1% of the cases HEH is revealed at metastatic stage with preferential pulmonary and bone localization. Surgery with partial hepatectomy or liver transplantation is the first line treatment when HEH is confined to liver. Other treatments have been reported such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, hormonetherapy, and hepatic resection or embolization. We report here the first two cases of patients with metastatic HEH treated bycyclophosphamide-based metronomic chemotherapy (CMC) at dose of 50mg a day without interruption
