Relation entre paramètres échographiques de fonction ventriculaire droite et capacité fonctionnelle à l'effort: application à la cardiopathie dilatée

Abstract : The condition of the right ventricular (RV) function is crucial to deliver an accurate diagnosis among patients with chronic heart failure and altered left ventricular ejection fraction. Some new echographic technique allow us to accurately assess the condition of the right heart. The aim of this study is to define the potential correlation between cardiac echographical parameters of the right ventricle and those gathered during the functional testing of a group of patients with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM). During this study, we were able to highlight the correlation between RV systolic function parameters (myocardic performance index and tissular Doppler imaging parameters) and the functional capacity of patients with DCM to determine a cut-off value for IPM VD and also to stress the importance of the atrial function on such patients. These tools could be used to categorize the risk of these patients an therefore to better adapt and optimize their follow up and treatment.
