Etude du refroidissement des surfaces défilantes par pulvérisation d'eau

Abstract : This work deals with the study of cooling a mooving surface using a spray cooling. To reproduce the experimental conditions of stell strips during hot rolling an experimental device was built in LEMTA. With a device for induction of heat, the cylindre is heated up to temperatures of order of 600°C, and then cooling it by spray. Thermocouples located on the cylindre to measure instantaneous temperature, an inverse method of heat conduction was used to estimate the heat flow. The results have shown that the use of spray cooling homogenizes heat transfert, and save the amount of water used.
