Torréfaction rapide à l'échelle pilote de biomasses de différentes natures et caractérisation des produits

Abstract : I did my internship in CIRAD, the International Center of Cooperation for Agronomic Research of Southern countries development located in Montpellier. The aim of my practical training was to value and characterize the torrefaction and its products. This experience had been set in two important steps. A pyrolysis pilot of biomass has been adapted and developed for the torrefaction to get a given torrefacted wood. Torrefacted wood's tests in laboratory showed the influence of torrefaction time and temperature on mechanical and energical of wood properties. The quick torrefaction has demonstrated good results and has also proved the positive effect of a shorter duration with still the advantages of the slow torrefaction. Then, the effects of the reactor's temperature and the biomass used have been evaluated through material balances on proportion of torrefacted biomass, condensable and non-condensable species.
