Computer aided analysis of 13C n.m.r. spectra of multicomponent mixtures: 3. Analysis of individual components of a heavy gasoline from liquefaction of Polish coal
Abstract
The method of computer aided analysis of 13C nuclear magnetic resonance (n.m.r.) spectra of multicomponent mixtures has been applied to the study of a synthetic gasoline derived from liquefaction of Polish coal. Analysis of the aromatic region of the 13C n.m.r. spectrum was possible due to novel deconvolution algorithms based on digital filtering (DF) and maximum likelihood (ML) methods. Applicability of the two approaches is discussed and the n.m.r. results obtained are compared to those from gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (g.c.-m.s.).
