Imagen latente: In memoriam

Abstract : The post-mortem photography, generally very unknown, presents a long tradition of representation from other areas, such as sculpture, painting or others, which dates back centuries. However, through the medium of photography, this portraiture genre has not only set new modes of representation, but a whole iconography and a photographic language in itself, as well as totally genuine meanings. That is why this work reflects on the posthumous image as a substitute for the absent body, allowing the configuration and installation of a new cult of memory through that photographic image.
