La consommation de substances psychoactives chez les femmes enceintes : un projet de prise en charge initié par le pôle mère-enfant du CHR Metz-Thionville, de sa mise en place aux premières actions

Abstract : In France, consuming psychoactive drugs (such as tobacco, alcohol, licit or illicit drugs) during pregnancy is now known as a major public health concern. Consuming such drugs may lead to many problems for a mother-to-be and her child. Pregnancy is the right moment for these women’s dependence to be taken care of, which will largely shape their living conditions, the proceedings of their pregnancy and the quality of the relationship between the mother and her child. That is why the CHR Metz-Thionville has been committed to improving the nursing of these women in association with professionals of addiction. A network-like multidisciplinary project team has been set up. Meeting and sharing information between numerous actors of perinatal care and addiction study have led the project team to adopting a strategy coming out on the first two actions: a broadened communication aiming to improve coordination and collaboration, and making concerned professionals aware so as to halt negative ideas.
