Valorisation et analyse des données du suivi de la migration des oiseaux en Rhône-Alpes

Abstract : Since thirty years, the bird migration monitoring is accomplished at eight sites in Rhône- Alpes. While BirdLife International confirms the uncertain future of many migratory species, it is relevant to ensure of the validity of the data collected so far. The present study takes into account only data collected under a minimum protocol and on similar periods. An assessment of the available data is carried out and its limits are detected, particularly through the evolution of the observation volume and the evolution of the mean day of the passage of three passerine species. The results show an increase of the annual observation volume and a significant variation of the annual monitoring period. Thus, in this way the data is not entirely exploitable. To conclude, with the aim to obtain reliable results, a strict protocol has to be defined in accordance with the targeted species depending on each monitored site.
