Modélisation de l'évolution des performances de médias fibreux au cours de leur colmatage par des particules nanostructurées

Abstract : A model was developed to predict the evolution of the pressure drop and the collection efficiency of non-woven filters clogged during the filtration of nanostructured particles (i.e. agglomerates of nanometric particles). It takes into account the filter characteristics (thickness, packing density, Davie' diameter and mean fibre diameter), but also the particle-size distribution and the operating conditions (filtration velocity, gas viscosity…). This model needs only one adjustable parameter linked to mean fibre diameter. In comparison with experimental data, the model allows predicting quite satisfactorily the performance (pressure drop and efficiency) of several mono or dual layer fibrous filters during particle loading.
