La vulgarisation des recherches sur le phénomène de harcèlement dans The Conversation France : analyse du traitement thématique et discursif d’une question de société

Abstract : The Conversation France (TCF) is a network of not-for-profit online media outlets. It is the result of a collaboration between researchers and journalists. The former write articles related to current events with the aim of science popularization. The latter, playing the role of editors, ensure the publication and visibility. The media covers a variety of social issues, including mobbing. This study focuses on the way articles address this issue, both thematically and discursively. Based on a body of 73 articles that have all been indexed as "mobbing" by the editors, the study highlights that it is addressed from three angles (school mobbing, workplace mobbing, and cyber mobbing) and primarily in three types of articles (research presentation, scientific analysis of a current event, and clarification). However, it pointed out that 42.5 % of articles tagged "mobbing" address it only peripherally. The tag was therefore chosen both in a hooking and search engine optimization logic.
