Éléments pour une appréhension structurale et socio-historique de la représentation sociale de la musique dans les courants techno et punk

Abstract : The stylistic names mentioned in this article should be seen in the historical context of the genesis of popular music from the 1960s to the 1990s. They are theorised in terms of underground practices. In the analysis of the social representations of punks and garage bands, we have tried to describe similar socialization modalities. Despite their innovative aesthetics, the currents of techno also imply moments of rupture and renewal, based on the same artistic and commercial aims. The behaviours, images and symbols used then form a system of representations carried by the various actors of these art worlds. The model, highlighted in the empirical work of Seca (2001), serves as a guiding thread for part of this comparative approach.
