Non-linear observer using fuzzy gain adaptation

Abstract

The design of a fuzzy observer based on the conventional regulator design principle is proposed. The observer gain is adapted using rules similar to fuzzy regulator rules through an appropriate choice of linguistic terms. The proposed method is well adapted for systems with uncertain parameters as well as for non-linear systems. Numerical results are provided for performance analysis of three kinds of observers comprising a linear system, a system in which some parameters can vary, and a non-linear system.
