Des compétences psychosociales pour prévenir le harcèlement scolaire

Abstract : This exploratory study focuses on the “Anti-Bullying Ambassadors” scheme. These Ambassadors are students who volunteer to carry out actions to prevent bullying and cyberbullying in their high schools and neighbouring schools. The scheme places them at the heart of prevention. It aims to change attitudes, behaviours and cultures of bullying by developing the psychosocial skills needed to deal with different situations: speaking in public, showing empathy, verbalising emotions or overcoming stereotypes (sexist, racist) which play an important role in peer violence. The study aims to understand students’ reasons for engaging in bullying prevention and to analyse their discourse both on their engagement and their experience of violence as bullied, witnesses or even bullies.
