A method for fitting 3D shapes to real reservoir data

Résumé

In the Reservoir Engineering world, simulation of reservoir geometry is a crucial problem for further exploration planification. In the stochastic field, a great deal of methods exists for representing a 3D model of the reservoir, but in most cases, either the data are hardly fitted or the geometrical shape of the geological bodies are hardly discernible ([1]) . We propose a new method for positioning elementary shapes in the reservoir in such a way that all data requirements be respected.
