Outils pour la description et la mise en oeuvre des interactions coopératives dans les équipes virtuelles

Abstract : In virtual team applications, it is essential to manage roles of the participants and to coordinate their activities. In addition, it is necessary to support the unpredictability of certain interactions between the participants, the dynamics of the work rules and the complexity of the handled data. For that purpose we propose new tools to describe and implement interact ions in virtual teams. Our work proposes three models. - A model for access control which allows to describe the relations between participants working on shared objects. This model can be used in order to specify roles thanks to inference rules. - A model for synchronization which allows to describe the coordination between activities of the different participants of a virtual team. The support of composite obj ects and the descriptions of state synchronization constraints between cooperative activities characterize this model. - A model for interactions, which integrates the access control model and the synchronization model. This model defines the interactions in term of cooperation policies describing the rules of work of in a virtual team. The model of interactions addresses a broad range of cooperative applications. It is indeed independent of the granularity of the shared objects and the working method adopted by the virtual team. Consequently, we studied the necessary mechanisms of implementing for each type of applications. We implement the model for asynchronous cooperative work on a graph of versions.
