Auto-assemblage et auto-organisation d'hélices métallo-supramoléculaires

Abstract : The aim of this work was a tentative of programming oriented helicates around tetrahedral coordinating metals. In this sense we conceived then and synthesised new bis-heterocyclic sequences and calix[4]arene podands along there metal CuI, Ag[exponent I], Zn[exponent II] complexes. The heterotopic sequences incorporate two metal coordinating bis-diimine sites in there whole structure. According to the molecular recognition principle, metal-ligand interactions allow the formation of double-stranded homotopic and heterotopic helicates. Concerning heterotopic helicates, two conformations H-H and H-T may be selected. In the present study all the heterotopic ligands afforded only one conformation exclusively. In the case of Ni[exponent II] (hexavalent) a new unexpected supramolecular framework was also caracterized. The origin of such a high selectivity of the strands orientation in heterotopic helicates could be assessed on the basis of the supramolecular information processing of the data contained in the electronic configuration of the bis-heterocycles.
