Sédimentologie, stratigraphie séquentielle et paléogéographie des séries carbonatées du Cénomanien à l'échelle de la Téthys occidentale : comparaison entre le golfe arabo-persique et la Provence

Abstract : The Mauddud, Ahmadi, Mishrif cenomanian formations and their lateral equivalent Sarvak, Shilaif-Khatiyah and Natih formations are great carbonates reservoirs in the Middle East. 151 wells and 3 sismic profils are correlated et the gulf scale. Sedimentological and biostatigraphical studies have been realized on 4 cored wells. The process used in order to build the stratigraphic and sequential model at the regional scale is based upon an analysis of diagraphic GR and Sonic signals shape, and allows to convert carbonate facies in electrofacies and electrosequences for each types cycle. Depositionnal sequences are ponctuated by a forced regression surface. A study of the Cenomanian in a synchronous basin shows a similar sequential model to the Midle East. The Cenomanian is organised in four incomplete sequences of the third order, with an eustatic origin, at the scale of the western Tethys.
