PointSynchro : un service pour la coordination de procédés interentreprises coopératifs

Abstract : A virtual enterprise allows partners distributed in different organizations to work together in order to achieve a common goal. Our work aims at providing tools for coordinating inter-enterprise partner processes and resources. To support such coordination we propose the following elements: a virtual enterprise meta model to resolve mismatches across partner processes, an inter-enterprise process model to coordinate partner activities. The virtual enterprise meta model define the basic concepts and their relationships. These concepts include process services, resources, contracts, and cooperative processes. The proposed inter-enterprise process model features a new concept, called Synchronization Point. A Synchronization Point is a cooperative activity that allows for the coordination of humans, process services, and produced documents. It monitors partners' work progress, supports decision-making and allows for changes in the cooperative process. The Synchronization Point implementation is based on an inter-enterprise contract model that guarantees partner agreements.
