Contribution à l'intégration d'outils de génie automatique autour d'un Système d'Information Unifié. Prototypage d'un atelier intégré de génie automatique

Abstract : Design of Automated Production Systems (A .P.S.) implies the use of multiple Computer-Aided Design (C.A.D.) tools, generally "closed" the ones with the others, i.e. not allowing exchange and sharing of information between them. This constrained A.P.S designers to adapt their design method (characteristic of their own engineering know-how) according to two ways : either while submitting to the technical requirements of the CAD tools available on the market (guided by the offer), or by ensuring themselves (manually or by developing specific interfaces between tools) data exchanges imposed by their own engineering method (compromise between an approach guided by the need and an approach guided by the offer). Then, the coherence and the quality of the resulting A.P.S depend on the designer's skill to ensure necessary continuity between the design activities. The work presented in this report is in this context and tries to cûntribute to the definition of integrated Automation CAD environments by iaking into account the needs (adaptability with the industrial engineering approaches) and the offer (existing CAD tools). The feasibility study of the integration frameworks and techniques in this field and related fields shows that the suggested solutions are often very prescriptive, i.e. trying to impose standards, postulating what should be the CAD tools and their integration, withaut reaUy taking into account their diversity. On the contrary, the suggested approach tries to make emerge an optimal integrationframework directly starting from the properties of the CAD tools to be integrated. Taking as a starting point well-tried Software Engineering techniques, the recommended approach begins first of all by a modelling of the Information System of each CAD tool followed by the study of the intersection between these models which becomes, after exploitation, the "heart" of integration for the CAD tools. The iterative application of this approach is illustrated by the effective integration of three Automation CAD tools. In addition to the interest for the integration of these CAD tools, the development of the Information System models of the tools allows, in addition, to supplement the knowledge of the "objects" used in design of A.P.S As illustrated in this report, this formalised knowledge offers the bases for extension of standardised reference models such as BASE-PTA, thus showing the complementarity between the suggested approach and the prescriptive approaches for integration.
