Contribution à la conduite d'étude de faisabilité de systèmes de fabrication

Abstract : Manufacturing systems engineering needs innovation, creativity and technological research. Feasibility studies concerning this engineering field are numerous and take place in a concurrent environment. Tools and methods used in the fiels of product design bring too little solutions in order to conduct these studies, especially in small and medium companies. We propose a methodology articulated around seven processes, from which six are simultaneous ones. It uses a syntax associated to a graphical representation that allow a distibuted and iterative approach integrating internal and external factors, as well as the necessary material. Its objectives are to formalise processes, to indicate pertinent tools and methods, to co-ordinate partners in conducting the study, to structure and memorise technical data following the system specifications. A realisation project of a flexible production system has enabled us to validate the methodology through a computerised application dealing with configuration and technical data management, which is now in an experimentation step. The reusability of our methodology structures to the entire life-cycle of the system up to the exploitation step has enriched the representations initially proposed, and has opened other investigation fields.
