Mécanique et transport dans les milieux poreux déformables : prise en compte des corrélations ion-ion et application aux argiles smectiques

Abstract : In this work, we study electro-chemo-mechanical effects at the nanoscale of smectite clay particles saturated by saline solutions containing water and ions, with the aid of Statistical Mechanical theory. Some more complex models than Poisson-Boltzmann's one as DFT/MSA, HNC are studied taking into account the ion-ion correlations between ions with finite size in order to compute local ionic distributions in the nanopores. On the other hand, we resolved also the mechanical problem in this scale by introducing the stress tensors of fluid satisfying compulsorily mechanical equilibrium. Our aim next is to up-scale the model to higher scale based on homogenization of periodic structures aiming at obtaining the macroscopic constitutive laws for the disjoining pressure and transport problem. In this context, the two et three-scale models are proposed. Finally, the three-scale model (dual-porosity model) is applied for a clay barrier simulation with ion exchange problem
