Etude du décolmatage pneumatique des dépoussiéreurs à manches :

Abstract : The objective of this study was to contribute to a better understanding of the consequences of the pulse-jet cleaning of dust collectors. Three additional research fields were investigated: - Measurements of the behaviour of the bags during cleaning enabled the identification of the best regenerated areas and the description of the mechanisms that cause dislodgement of the dust cake. - Research established the way in which the global dirty air flow filtered is distributed among the bags during the cycles. The pulse-jet cleaning results in disequilibrium in the distribution of the air flows among the bags because of considerable increases in air flows on the first bags cleaned. A model was developed in order to describe the experimental results. - The puffs of the downstream particles, emitted after pulse-jet cleaning, are described. Measurements of the downstream concentration before recycling into workplaces show that contamination by very fine particles must be taken into consideration
