Etude expérimentale de l'ébullition convective d'un jet d'eau plan impactant une surface mobile portée à hautes températures

Abstract : This work deals with the study of boiling heat transfer at a moving surface cooled by a planar water jet, in transient state. This study falls under in a industrial context in order to control the kinetics of cooling of the flat products of the metal processing industry. An original experimental device allowing the determination of the local curves of boiling in the case of a static surface and of a mobile surface was set up. Heat fluxes are measured on both side of the axis of the jet until a reduced distance x/l of 18, in a range of subcoolings from 10 to 83 K, for impinging jet between 0.8 and 1.2 m/s and of ratios velocity from 0.3 to 1.25. The incidence of these parameters on the different boiling regimes was highlighted through established correlations. Measurements confirmed in the case of a static surface, the appearance of a shoulder under the axis jet in the transition boiling regime. In the case of a moving surface, was highlighted the appearance of a maximum of heat coefficient transfer, upstream of the axis of the jet, in the forced convection. In the transition boiling regime, a maximum of critical heat flux was observed downstream from the axis of the jet. In the film boiling regime, a minimum thickness of this film is also observed downstream from the axis of the jet.
