Contribution à l'étude de la pliabilité des alliages Zn-Cu-Ti à basse température

Abstract : Zinc-copper-titanium alloy which is used in civil engineering in the field of roofing is very well adapted regarding bendability above 7°C. Belong this temperature one usually notices a fragilisation of the metal when being used. Our work consisted in showing the structural parameters which govern the bendability of these alloys. This was carried out in order to improve their bendability when reaching a temperature as low as possible. The results obtained, clear show that the ductile brittle transition of the Zn-Cu-Ti alloys studied, is influenced by both the orientation (ODF) and misorientation (MODF) of the grains. As a consequence of that it also appears from the study that the C axes which are about 20° titled are well adapted to bendability. Reaching an optimized texture for bending, is both dependant on finding a clever comprise between cold rolling and recrystallization, but also finding addition elements which make it possible to reduce the grain size
