Etude des propriétés dynamiques et élastiques des composés d'insertion du graphite

Abstract : In this thesis we study the dynamic and elastic properties of graphite and some of its first stage donor intercalation compounds (LiC2, LiC6, CaC6, SrC6, BaC6, SmC6, EuC6, YbC6, RbC8, CsC8, KC2, KC3, KC6 et KC8). The phonon dispersion curves and the density of states are calculated, which permit us to evaluate elastic constants, specific heat and Debye temperature of all these compounds. The model is of De Launay with five or seven atomic force constants. This very simple model permits us to obtain results in good agreement with experimental values. At least, with the study of the potassium family of intercalation compounds, we try to evaluate the critical temperature of superconductivity of KC2, compounds which has not yet been synthetised in a satisfactory way
