L'image de l'élite politique de la Russie post-soviétique : exemple de la presse française (Le Monde, Le Figaro, Libération, L'Express, Le Nouvel Observateur, Marianne)

Abstract : Only recently the Soviet Union, delightly or hateful, suggested the respect by its might. Today Russia from the western viewpoint seems to be an object of some simplified comprehension. Russia has been reduced at only some characteristics, that have kept her in the confinment of stereotypes restraints. The present study examines the mechanisms operating in the elaboration of an image, as a mental representation of the post-soviet political elite. Those serving to the Russian image formulation, were selected for deeper study. The role of the media is examined in details via analysis of the national daily and weekly newspapers. This research work has revealed the following : - The image role as a political communication instrument ; - The mechanisms of the primary image deformation ; - The process of generalisation and simplification used as a tool of misinformation.
