Rapports entre morphologie et syntaxe en français et en hongrois : deux cas particuliers "d’accord-objet"

Abstract : This study is meant to describe and analyze two particular cases of object agreement: the past participle agreement in French and the definite conjugation in Hungarian. It is situated in the framework of generative grammar; yet, other approaches to language study are used when necessary. Even if the surface realizations of the two phenomena are morphologically different, a close examination of the constructions in which it appears reveals that there are common factors determining the appearance of object-agreement in both languages, even if there is no link either typological or genetic between them.
