Contribution à l'étude pharmacologique des extraits de Rosmarinus officinalis L., et notamment des jeunes pousses : activités cholérétiques, antihépatotoxiques, anti-inflammatoires et diurétiques

Abstract : The pharmacological study of Rosmariuns officinalis L. (Lamiaceae), indigenous of mediterranean basin could validate its traditional indications for hepato-renal disorders, rheumatismal and oedema disorders, and its use as food antioxidant. Pharmaceutical tests are lead on R. officinalis young sprouts extracts. Choleretic was studied in the rat and could decearn to young sprouts a significant and dose dependant choleretic activity. Pretreatment with an aqueous extract of young sprouts caused a significant decrease in the carbon-tetrachloride induced toxicity in the rats and mices liver, made evident by its effect on the level of alanin-amino transferase in the plasma. Also, significant anti-inflammatory effects were obtained on an acute inflammatory process (carrageenan-induced edema test in rats). Finally, significant diuretic effect was obtained on edematous rats by glycero-alcoolic young sprouts extract. Then, pharmacological young sprouts activities compared with flowering apex activities showed that young sprouts are moreperformed on choleretic and anti-hepatotoxic properties than flowering apex
