Histoplasmose américaine disséminée avec atteinte oculaire : à propos d'une observation

Abstract : Histoplasmosis, mycosis du to Histoplasma capsulatum, is frequent in endemies areas. Often asymptomatic, it can take several form. Disseminated histoplasmosis, that affects immunodeficient patients, is fatal without treatment. The diagnosis is based on revealing of fungus, and the treatment on antifungal. Death rate is high and relapses are frequent. Ocular histoplasmosis is rare. It is a choroiditis with atrophie scars, peripapillary atrophy and subretinal choroidal neovascularization. It is a chronic pathology, that must be watched and specifically treated.In this thesis, we report a case of disseminated histoplasmosis with ocular symptom affecting a patient from Guadaloup, who is treated with corticosteroids for a sarcoidis, and we compare to the literature.
