Toxicité de deux types de nanoparticules d'argent sur la cyanobactérie modèle : Synechococcus elongatus PCC 7942

Abstract : With the recent arrival of nanotechnologies and their growing use in every domain, it became necessary to ask questions about potentially risks on health and environment. For example, silver nanoparticles are discharged in huge quantities in water courses during water treatment campaigns, without any possibility of removing them after. During this work, toxicological effects of two silver nanoparticles types will be tested on a fresh water model cyanobacterium, Synechococcus elongatus PCC 7942, known for its ability of proliferating and forming green tides, or introducing in filters of water treatment stations, giving water a nauseating taste. This study will aim to determine median effective concentrations of ionic silver and nanoparticles on S. elongatus in order to use these results to plan a study of toxicity mechanisms.
