Vidéo contemporaine et discours biographique : entre exposition et dissimulation

Abstract : Since the 1990s, many artists are interested in biographical discourse. Camera in hand, they go to meet their peers and question them about their personal history. On the screen, protagonists narrate their past experiences, confide doubts and anxieties. If the biographical narratives produced in the contemporary art field remain intrinsically linked to the characteristics of the genre, we will examine here their specificities on the textual, methodological and formal levels.
