Improved performance of a control using switching command based on Lyapunov functions of a boost converter with an LC input filter

Abstract : In this paper, a way to reduce steady-state errors of the state variables with a control technique based on the Lyapunov stability for a boost converter, which supplied by the power source through an input LC filter, is proposed. Lyapunov stability analysis gives the control switching command corresponding to the stable operation of the system at each sampling time. An observer is used to estimate the losses existing in the system online. All state variables of the system and additional state variables using in the observer are controlled simultaneously. This makes the behaviors of the system, which is controlled by the proposed method, rapid. Additionally, the start-up transient response is considered and is included in the control algorithm. The validation of the proposed technique was done through experimental results.
