Simulations numériques de la mise en forme des tôles : influence du modèle de plasticité

Abstract : The formulation of constitutive equations that provide an accurate description of the plastic behaviour of orthotropic sheets is an important problem for industrial applications, such as the design of sheet metal forming processes and the prediction of plastic instabilities. A description of orthotropic plasticity using a polar-coordinate representation of the yield surface in principal stress space has recently been developed by the authors. The model has been implemented both in specific programs for hydrostatic bulging of a cylindrical diaphragm and for deep-drawing of a cylindrical cup, and in the ABAQUS FEM code by means of the UMAT subroutine. As compared to the predictions of Hill's quadratic criterion, the simulations generally show improved agreement with experimental results concerning load (or pressure), strain distributions and earing in deep drawing. The numerical results obtained with this approach, permitting us to account for the effect of rheological parameters, show the importance to choice the shape of the yield surface. In particular, we can observe the influence on the pressure evolution which is necessary in bulge test. We can also obtain a better prediction of distribution of the thickness strain in the flange of cup drawing
